What a life changing opportunity it was to go to South Africa and Botswanna. We felt love and joy--along with a bit of anxiety just for fun.
Becky and Mark and kidlets are doing well--their home is lovely, their friends so nice--and the country was incredible.
Riding an elephant was an event of a lifetime. It is something I wouldn't have wanted to miss--but not necessarily repeat. I guess been there, done that applies to elephants for me. I wouldn't mind another game drive, though.
Seeing animals living in the wild was amazing. Zebras walked in front of us--ostriches paid us no heed as we passed by. Seeing a rhino out in a meadow without a fence is thought provoking--ulp!
The long plane ride was a bit of a challenge--total travel time home was 31 hours, from Becky's home to ours. I hope Jared and Lex will excuse our droopy eyelids when they came for a visit--we crashed somewhere around 8:30 PM and didn't care to see daylight until around 9 AM! That is a long time to sleep!
Hope you enjoy the photos--we enjoyed taking them! O X O X O X!
